Saturday I had a maternity session with a friend of mine, and she brought her girls along so that they could be in a few of her maternity photos as well! These girls are so darn pretty and very photogenic! Abbey LOVED having her picture taken, but Makayla (the younger girly) was to preoccupied with chasing and snuggling with our little Taco (our chiuahua), so I was only allowed to get one picture of her by herself before she was off again!

*On a Mission*

I'm trying to teach myself to be a more candid photographer! I need to teach myself, that not every picture has to be a head-on picture of a smile, giggle or grin! An individuals true colors and personilty show up and are always strongest when they think no one is watching them!

On my next few adventures with my kids or nephews and nieces, my goal is to capture real and true emotion...nothing posed! I'm not going to call their names or ask them to say "Cheese", just sort of inconspicuously follow them around and shoot away!

I have been loving black and white conversions lately, and I knew this image of Mercedes would look AMAZING black and white, but I also like it in color...now I can't decide...?
